Description: Lake FRC has been providing services to Lake County residents since April 1995. We provide an array of services including child and youth development, parenting education and personal development, family and community violence prevention and treatment, and health and wellness.
Family Service programs include Early Start, Early Head Start, Cal-Learn, CA PREP, Family Empowerment Center, Home Visiting, and pregnant mother services. Our Behavior Health Services include counseling programs, child abuse treatment, and support groups. The Crisis Services programs include a Rape Crisis Center, Sexual Assault Program, Housing Assistances, Human Trafficking, and Domestic Violence Advocacy. Our Senior Programs include the Lakeport Senior Center and a Meals on Wheels Program.
Additional Affiliations: Early Start FRC for 0-3 population is also coordinated through LakeFRCFamily Empowerment Centers (FECs) provide training and information to families of children and young adults with disabilities, between the ages of 3 and 22 in California. These nonprofit organizations offer specialized training, peer-to-peer support, information and referral services. They assist parents to better understand their child’s educational and developmental needs, effectively communicate with service providers, serve as a resource for the IEP process, participate in school reform and improvement activities, promote alternative dispute resolution, and support positive relationships between parents and professionals. Services available through each FEC vary based on the needs of the community.
